The Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narender Modi announced for establishment of Horticultural University in Haryana during the budget session of 2014-15. Hon’ble Union Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Minister, Shri Radha Mohan Singh and the Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal laid the foundation stone at Anjanthali Village Distt. Karnal in the presences of Shri Om Parkash Dhankar the Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Haryana on 6th April 2016.
The University came into existence by Haryana Act No.32 of 2016 on 28th November, 2016. The site for university is situated 21 KM away from Karnal on National Highway No. one leading to Ambala at a latitude of 30˚N and longitude 77˚E. It is 146 KM from Delhi and connected with Nilokheri Railway Station.
MHU is the 1st Horticulture University in the Haryana State and 5th Univsersity in our country. The University has set up its Camp Office at CCS HAU, Hisar on 21st January 2017.
It is my great pleasure to know that the university is going to launch its Dynamic Web Portal in consonance with the mandated activities of the university. The Web Portal is user friendly and easy to access for farmers, students, faculities and all concerned.
I dedicate the MHU Web Portal in the service of whole farming community, students, faculty members, staff and all other stake holders of the university.
